Reviews and Ratings
The hotel is in a convenient location, not far from Windermere town and Bowness, offering access to various shops, restaurants, and bars. The rooms are in need of modernization and can get very hot. The service was friendly and professional, with enjoyable outdoor facilities. The dining experience was decent, and the hotel has the potential to be outstanding.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms were tidy and spacious, but unfortunately, the noise from the housekeeping storeroom was quite disturbing. The bathroom layout could have been better to allow for easier maneuvering. The availability of tea and coffee on the tray was a nice touch, but the out-of-order status of the facilities for three days, including the very cold swimming pool, was a letdown.
I had a wonderful stay at the hotel, with lovely and spotlessly clean rooms. The only downside was the bathroom layout that made maneuvering a bit awkward. The lakeside view from my room was restricted, but overall, it was a very enjoyable experience that I would repeat.
